Graeme’s Comeback Stuns At Kingswood Festival

Graeme College played against Clifton College on the first day of the Kingswood College Rugby Festival.  Graeme College made up a 9 point half time deficit to win the match 27-21.

Graeme College would have been frustrated in the first half as they made a number of crucial errors in their own red zone which gifted Clifton numerous opportunities to score points.  When Graeme did eventually get the ball in their opponents half they looked dangerous and scored on both occasions.  Graeme trailed 12-21 at the break.

The second half belonged to Graeme as they spent near on the entire second half in their opponents half and managed to score three tries.  The Graeme College backline was particularly threatening on a day where they found space in the wide channels.  Graeme could not convert the tries but managed to win 27-21. It was a great result against a powerful Clifton side.

Try scorers:  Thuso Mokhele, Simon Cowley, Lelona Xhaso and Yanga Bangisa x2.  Lakhanya Sam x1 conversion.
