"Francke been cleared to play! Heart healing well! God is good!"
This was the short message Sean Erasmus, 1stXV coach of Paarl Boishaai attached to Francke's nomination of Ruggas 2017 Forward of the Year Tweet. Francke is also a nominee in the Ruggas 2017 Player of the Year Category.
Francke withdrew, due to a heart illness from the Craven Week of 2017 just before the tournament commenced after being selected for the Western Province Team as captain. Francke was the publics favourite to lead the u/18 Bokkies in the 2017 u/19 International Series against England, France and Wales which was played weeks after the 2017 Craven Week.
Francke was contracted by the Western Province for the 2018 season and will play a major part to ensure that Francke will recover 100% from the heart illness that robbed the South African schoolboy rugby public to witness one of the brightest stars of 2017 at the Craven Week.
Go well Francke and we are all excited to see you back at your best on the rugby field. Indeed, Mr Erasmus, God is good.
